Try
Out

Swimmers will be expected to report to the pool with all their swimming gear (ie. swim suit, towel, goggles, etc).  At that time, all swimmers will be evaluated by the coaching staff in the four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly).  At the completion of the try-out, parents and swimmers will be advised about which group will best suit their ability level. bus games
For example, a child who can complete 25 yards of each stroke, but who does not yet have the stamina to train in the Junior practice would be placed in the "Developmental" group.  In the "Developmental" group, that child can develop their training stamina, while continuing to strengthen their technique.

Trial
Period

On Monday, September 9th all the new swimmers will report to practice with their new group.  Each child will have a  trial period to adjust to the LIAC practices and learn what to expect in a typical workout.  Throughout the trial period, coaches will have the option of moving a swimmer to a group better suited for their needs. russian gost r

For example, a child who is originally placed in the developmental group may demonstrate greater ability than during the one night try out.  Therefore, this child might be better off in a junior level practice.

Swimmers final team placements will be posted at the Aquatics Center in room 106, as well as on the website, www.nliac.com, on Friday September 20.

Meetings

Following the trial period, all new parents will have a meeting/registration Thursday, September 19 at 7:00p.m.  The meeting will be held in the V.I.P. room at the Aquatics Center.  Not only will the meeting serve as "Registration" for the new members, but it will also provide parents with the opportunity to ask additional questions.
All new parents will also be required to attend the Parents Meeting on Monday, September 23 at 7:00 pm.

At the registration meeting on Thursday, September 19, all new parents are expected to have the first installment of their tuition.  The Tuition payment will be broken up into two separate checks at that time.  Also, all new members will need to open an "Entry Fee" account for the swimmers meet fees.  In total, new parents will need to submit 3 checks at the Registration Meeting. For more information on our fee structure please visit the "Our Program" page.
